A few months ago, I offered a couple of these bottles from an area restaurant supply retailer, and were very impressed with them. I make water kefir, and have discovered these bottles to be the most effective container to retailer my finished kefir in since the inside of the lid is completely lined with a thin plastic coating, so no metallic is uncovered, and subsequently it doesn't rust. In the previous, on account of the acidic nature of kefir, I was storing it in glass milk bottles with rubber snap-on lids, but the lids weren't airtight, so my kefir would lose its carbonation. If I retailerd it in the rest with a screw-on lid, the steel on the lid would begin to rust when even the smallest amount of kefir would inevitably come in contact with it.

I absolutely adore these bottles. I keep popcorn kernels in one through the stove, and the bottle maintains them fresh and simply accessible.
