I bought this product together with some freezer jars to make freezer jam in my cooking type for grownups with disabilities. The directions on this jar couldn't have been simpler to operate.
We made a batch of recent strawberry freezer jam in a topic of minutes! The participants have been very happy with themselves for with the ability to do this job themselves.
A week later, we tried the jam with croissants baked within the oven. You will have heard a pin drop within the room because they have been enjoying the taste so much! Needless to say, they went via 3 jars of freezer jam, leaving the Smuckers on their plates for the garbage! (I put the latter on their plates for a taste comparison!)
I highly counsel this product for individuals who would favor to have a appear at their hand at making jam who thought it was once onerous and for these who need a real style deal with of consuming recent fruit jam. Even conventionally prepared jam does not style nearly as fresh.
*Note: We used 1 of 2 the sugar of the recipe on the pectin jar as a end result of our classification is a healthy cooking category; we strive to use less of the "bad for you" elements. The jam tasted nice without it, but we used contemporary strawberries from a local farm that were slightly candy already.

If you want easy and unbelievable, that is the stuff. One weekend yearly we talk over with the farmer's market and buy a dozen residences of berries and make a complete years jam and this is stuff we use! It is so easy that my husband made hellos own jam this yr, all 100 cups of it in one afternoon. I will say that I have tried to make peach jam with this a number of occasions and it by no implys labored. For peach, use the previous stuff and plan on cooking it. (That is the only cause it acquired 4 famous persons.) Anyone who has been a hit with peach, please let me know the approach you most likely did it to your evaluation.
I have discovered that you simply get about three 1/2 full batches of jam per flat for raspberries/blackberries and about 6 batches per flat for strawberries.
Also, I would recommend the Ball Freezer Jam containers. They don't appear to be glass, would not have to be sterilized for freezer jam, and stack so well for storage for our next yearly jam birthday phasey.

This stuff is now not going to do what it says it'll. Buy MCP Pectin as an alternative. Cheaper and way higher, it in reality works. Wasted lots of time fruit and cash seeking to make jelly with this junk, now not chuffed. Amazon is not going to let me give it zero celebritys, however that is the place I charge it, junk.
