Dewalt's DWE575 Lightweight Circular Saw
By Mallory Kramer
Dewalt is known for creating a pretty good power tool and this circular saw truly stands up to that reputation. Offering superior power, balance and ergonomics, the saw transcends the standard circular saw to bring craftsmen a lightweight and powerful solution to some of the toughest cutting applications.
The DWE575 circular saw is among the lightest in its class and, at only 8.8 well-balanced pounds, the tool is maneuverable and easy to use. The saw's 15-amp motor offers the brute power necessary to tackle even the toughest cutting tasks and with a 57-degree beveling capacity and positive stops at the most popular cutting angles (45-degrees and 22.5-degrees), the saw can easily manage your more complicated cuts, too. The DWE575 circular saw also offers a large depth of cut capacity (up to 2-9/16-inches) to increase its usefulness and versatility, and thanks to the anti-snag ball bearing lower guard, the saw operates smoothly and consistently despite rough applications. This design also ensures the guard's long-life and keeps the tool hanging tough for a longer period of time.
Dewalt's DWE575 circular saw features a high-grade aluminum base that is both smooth and durable; this of course ensures totally accurate cuts and a long life for the base. The saw is designed to provide a clear line of sight at any angle and is built with an integrated dust blower that clears the cut-path as you work. This means that no matter what you're cutting or how you're looking at your project, you'll have a clear cut-path and an optimized line of sight.
The circular saw also comes standard with a Toughcord. This is a great feature that provides a little more security to a power cord that can otherwise be kind-of flimsy. In other words, the Toughcord is, well, a tough cord and it ensures greater resistance to cord pull-outs and other wear-and-tear. The tool has an on-board blade wrench to ensure easy assess to said wrench (and, consequently, faster blade changes, as well). - The saw uses a 7-1/4-inch diameter blade, delivers 5200 RPM, and includes that carbide tipped blade and blade wrench.
Ultimately, Dewalt's DWE575 lightweight circular saw is an excellent tool with the right features to keep you working fast and working efficiently. Although the thing does not include a rear pivot or electric brake, the saw does everything you need it to do while providing smooth cuts and fierce precision.
